The peer-reviewed research Cassandra synthesizes is largely paid for by public funding. The ability to read what those researchers found should not require a subscription. The public tier covers everyone who wants to understand the trajectory: students, journalists, educators, civically engaged readers, voters.
Paid tiers fund the synthesis work
Cross-disciplinary synthesis is unfunded almost everywhere. Researchers, institutions, governments, and organizations that need cross-chain analysis pay for the tools they need to do their jobs, and that funding keeps the public tier free. This is the model.

Is the public tier really free, forever?
Yes. The nine-chain overview dashboard, weekly synthesis updates, and basic alerts are free to anyone who wants them. Cassandra exists because the data showing cascading earth system failure deserves to be understood by everyone, not just paying institutions. The public tier is not a teaser, and it is not time-limited.
When does the platform launch?
The application is in active development. The marketing site is live now so anyone interested can join the waitlist. Pricing tiers, billing, and subscriptions are not yet open for purchase. Waitlist members will be notified when the platform opens, and early users will get extended access on launch.
What sources does Cassandra rely on?
Peer-reviewed research, primary datasets, and authoritative public-sector data feeds: NOAA, NASA, IPCC, OSNAP, and the canonical scientific datasets for each chain. Every data point inside the application is sourced and cited. Where projections appear, the underlying paper and uncertainty range are linked.
Is Cassandra a forecasting service or a science publication?
Neither. Cassandra synthesizes published peer-reviewed data and visualizes it. It does not produce original forecasts, and it does not constitute scientific advice or policy recommendations. Where projections are shown, they come from cited peer-reviewed sources with stated uncertainty ranges.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Upgrade and the new features activate immediately. Downgrade at the end of your current billing period. Annual subscriptions can switch tier at renewal.
Do you offer purchase orders or invoiced billing?
Yes, on the Institutional, Government, and Enterprise tiers. Contact admin@lonia.ai with your procurement details and we will arrange invoiced billing.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is priced at eleven months for the price of twelve on every paid tier. The Researcher annual price is $220 per year (versus $19.99 monthly), and the Institutional annual price is $1,100 per year (versus $99.99 monthly).
Can my class or research group use the public tier as a teaching resource?
Yes. Educators are explicitly welcome on the public tier. Cite the source as Cassandra by Lonia AI, link back to the underlying peer-reviewed sources Cassandra cites, and you are free to use the public dashboards and weekly synthesis updates in classroom settings.
